COVID update: Hennepin, Lacon each now reporting six cases

On Monday, Bureau, Putnam, Marshall County Health Departments reported 13 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.

In Bureau County, one female in her 90’s is being hospitalized.

Five cases are recovering at home:

• One male child.

• One male teenager.

• One female in her 20’s.

• One male in his 20’s.

• One female in her 70’s.

In Putnam County, seven cases are recovering at home:

• One female child.

• One male child.

• One male teenager.

• One female in her 30’s.

• One female in her 40’s.

• One male in his 40’s.

• One male in his 50’s.

There have now been 753 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the counties served by the Bureau, Putnam, and Marshall County Health Departments. Bureau County has had 604 confirmed cases. Marshall County has had 94 confirmed cases. Putnam County has had 55 confirmed cases. The first case was reported in Marshall County on March 23rd.

In addition to daily testing available at Perry Memorial Hospital and St. Margaret’s Hospital,

BPMCHD will offer drive-thru testing at the Bureau County Health Department on Wednesday’s in September by appointment only. Call 815-872-5091 to get scheduled.

In total, 8,386 Bureau County residents, 1,090 Putnam County residents and 3,329 Marshall County residents have been tested for COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.
