Five new COVID cases have been reported by the Bureau, Putnam, Marshall County Health Department over the weekend.
One case is from Marshall County and four cases are from Bureau County.
The Marshall County case is a female in her 20s. The Bureau County cases include a female in her 80s, a female in her 30s, a female in her 50s and a male in his 50s.
All individuals are recovering at home.
There have been a total of 70 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the three-county region. Bureau County has had 53 cases. Marshall County has had 15 cases and Putnam County has had two cases. There have been two deaths in Bureau County related to COVID-19.
ZIP code areas with six or more cases in Bureau County are: Princeton 22 confirmed cases out of 1,207 tests; Spring Valley 12 cases out of 740 tests, Buda six cases out of 63 tests and DePue six cases out of 89 tests.
In total, 3,172 Bureau County residents; 353 Putnam County residents and 1,253 Marshall County residents have been tested for COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.
