The University of Illinois Extension Bureau, LaSalle and Marshall-Putnam 4-H is honoring the seniors of 2020.
Molly Boyd is a member of the PC Progressors, M-P Federation (officer), M-P Ambassador and participated in Soo 4-H Sewing SPIN club in Marshall-Putnam.
Boyd enjoys the cooking projects the most. This is because “I will forever remember waking up and staying up at crazy times to bake with my gramma.”
In 4-H, Boyd learned to speak to people other than her family members, introduce herself to new people, be a leader and so much more. “4-H has shaped me into the person that I am today.”
4-H plays a big role in Boyd’s best memories. Some of those memories include numerous fashion reviews, achievement nights, 4-H fun days and 4-H fairs.
Boyd’s advice to younger 4-H’ers is “to be willing to listen to advice from people that have had more experience.”
Boyd’s plans for the future are to attend a two-year college and transfer to a university or go straight to a four-year university to obtain a degree in agriculture business.
“I would like to thank my mom (Helen Lenkaitis), my gramma (Jane Lenkaitis), Margy Mattern, Tonni Wink, Tammy Brown, Anne Scheel, Sidney Wilson and so many others.”
