MAGNOLIA TOWNSHIP — A two-vehicle accident on Nov. 24 in Magnolia Township sent several people to OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Department responded to a call at 2:20 p.m. Nov. 24 on Route 26 where they said a vehicle driven by Jennie M. Clark, 37, of Granville struck a vehicle driven by Melissa K. Schlosser, 31, of Henry.
A news release from the sheriff's department stated Clark, driving northbound, left her lane and entered the southbound lane where her vehicle struck Schlosser's. Schlosser, along with her passengers, a 6-year-old and an 8-year-old, were transported to St. Francis, as was Clark.
Clark was charged with improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving under the influence of drugs. She was released on a notice to appear and given a Putnam County court date.
A St. Francis spokesperson on Nov. 26 said both Schlosser and Clark were in fair condition. A condition report for the children was not available.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Marshall County Sheriff's Office, Henry Police, Putnam County EMS, Lifeflight, LifeStar, Henry Ambulance, Magnolia Fire Department, Hennepin Fire Department and McNabb Fire Department.
