STANDARD — Albert Lee “Red” Walter, 75, of Standard passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020, at his residence.
Red was born Dec. 30, 1944, in Streator to Vernon and Ila (Briner) Walter.
He was the custodian at Riverfront Machine Company, the former S & S Tool and Die Company. Red also worked at National Metalwares for 13 years.
Survivors include one son, Larry Walter of Hannibal, Mo.; four daughters, Dawn Rose of Daytona, Fla., Tammy Walter of Standard, Diane (Rick) Salyars of Peoria Heights and Tracy Walter of Tremont; two stepsons, Ernest Gallup of Spring Valley and Warren Milford of Ottawa; two brothers, Dennis (Sandy) Walter of Granville and Jim (Pat) Walter of Mark; one sister, Lucille Wyatt of Spring Valley; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Christine Walter in 1993 and Grace Walter in 2016; two grandsons; one stepdaughter; and one sister.
There will be no service at this time. Cremation rites have been accorded.
