HENRY — The Marshall-Putnam Soil and Water Conservation District has issued a notice to all persons of legal voting age who own or reside on land located within the boundaries of the district.
Beginning on Friday, Dec. 13, nominations will be accepted for the two-year term of the office of director of the Marshall-Putnam County Soil and Water Conservation District at the district’s office at USDA Service Center, 1511 University Court, Henry, during normal business hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
To be considered for nomination as a candidate for the office of director, nominees must provide proof of residency or ownership of land located within the boundaries of the district.
Interested persons must respond by 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 25, 2020. The election of directors will be held on Feb. 13, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. They will elect two people to the position of director to serve the two-year term.
