Deer accidents

At 5 p.m. on June 24, Linda K. Cherney, 67, of Putnam struck a deer on Route 29 in Senachwine Township. No injuries were reported. and no citations were issued.

At 9:10 p.m. on June 23, Pavan K. Konnepati, 37, of Peoria struck a deer on Route 18 in Magnolia Township. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.

At 4:10 p.m. on June 28, Meghan L. Lutes, 34, of Peru struck a deer on North 1150th Street in Hennepin Township. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.

At 12:25 p.m. on June 30, Marlene J. Froland, 85, of Henry struck a deer on Route 29 in Senachwine Township. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.

At 7:22 a.m. on July 1, Rosalynn T. Rivera, 34, of Hennepin struck a deer on Route 26 in Hennepin Township. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.

Battery

At 9 p.m. on June 22, Anthony F. Hughes, 30, of Galesburg was charged with battery. Hughes was released on a notice to appear and given a Putnam County court date.

DUI

At 12:26 a.m. on June 28, Sherry L. Cusac, 54, of Magnolia was charged with improper lane usage, DUI (alcohol), and DUI .08 or more following a traffic stop on Chicago Street in Magnolia. Cusac was released on a notice to appear and given a Putnam County court date.

Failure to appear

At 5:55 a.m. on June 30, Stephan Fihol, 29, of Chicago was arrested at the Riverfront Park in Hennepin on a failure to appear warrant for a DUI out of Cook County. Fihol posted bond and was released.

Accident

At 6:24 a.m. on July 1, Margaret M. VanNess, 78, of Lacon was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Route 18 in Magnolia Township. VanNess struck a guard rail after leaving the roadway for unknown reasons. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Putnam County EMS, Magnolia Fire Department, McNabb Fire Department and Henry Police Department. No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.
