GRANVILLE — The Putnam County High School theatre department will be present “Loserville,” a new musical with book, music and lyrics by Elliot Davis and James Bourne. Performances will be Thursday, March 14, Friday, March 15, and Saturday, March 16.
“Loserville” was nominated for an Olivier Award for Best New Musical in 2013. It is based on the album “Welcome to Loserville” from the band, Son of Dork. The story is set in 1971 and computer geek Michael Dork and his friends are about to make their mark on the world and possibly meet a few girls along the way.
The cast includes: Kaleb Wright as Michael Dork; Ryan Mooberry as Lucas Lloyd; Wesley Grimshaw as Francis Wier; Jordan Ladson as Marvin Camden; Elly Larsen as Holly Manson; Ben Sylvester as Eddie Arch; Clayton Wellenreiter as Huey Phillips; Savannah Tucker as Winnie Pagoda; Madi Bauer as Leia Dawkins; Hannah Henderson as Elaine Friend; Lillian Sandberg as Samantha Powden; Blair Stillwell as Ivanka; Madison Keegan as Marina; Jentsie Petersen as the convention announcer; Kalyn Grant as Susie Alpine; Paige Terando as Davina Glen; Madalyn Lorentzen as the principal; and Renae Ramey as the announcer voice.
Performances will be in the Putnam County High School auditorium. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students. PCHS students attend one performance for free. Doors open at 7 p.m. and performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be ordered by calling PCHS at 815-882-2800, option 4. Seating is reserved.
