HENRY — The University of Illinois Extension — Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall, Putnam Unit, along with the Marshall-Putnam Farm Bureau and Marshall-Putnam NRCS, will host a soil testing workshop at the Marshall-Putnam Extension Office at 509 Front St. in Henry.
The program will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7. Preregistration is required by Wednesday, Feb. 6, to the Extension office at 309-364-2356. There is no cost to participate.
The meeting will cover various topics regarding testing soil and interpreting results. Actual soil samples are not needed at the meeting.
Speakers for the meeting will be Erika Luft, NRCS District Conservationist; Russ Higgins, University of Illinois Extension Commercial Agriculture educator; Chris Behl, Pro-Ag Consulting, LLC; Daryle Wragge, University of Illinois Extension Ag Program coordinator; and Jim Stetson, Ag View FS Agronomy Marketing manager.
