HENNEPIN — The Putnam County Historical Society will hold its annual dinner and program at the Society Meeting House, 403 Old Hwy. 26 in Hennepin, at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 28.
After the meal, the Templeton Family Band from Lostant will entertain those in attendance with old-time blue grass, Celtic and gospel music. They are a dynamic group and have been performing since 2007 at community events and festivals, including the 2010 National KSMU Youth in Bluegrass Contest in Branson, Mo.
Everyone is invited to attend and view the result of the renovations to the Meeting House that have been underway for the past year. The Meeting House is handicapped accessible.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased from any board member (Dick Ashdown, Karen Bailey, Gary Boggio, Sue Bruch, Sue Campbell, Darlene Cofoid, Will Duke, Kevin Kunkel, Lonna Nauman and Sid Whitaker), from Sharon Clausen, at any of the banks in the county or by calling 815-303-5104.
