The Putnam County Lady Panthers won two of three matches this past week. The squad’s overall record is 10-12-3.
The Lady Panthers beat Henry and lost to Woodland in Tri-County Tournament action at home Oct. 7.
In the Henry match, PC won by scores of 25-21 and 25-14. PC’s Madison Solomon had 14 assists, four service points, three digs, two service aces and one kill. Lindsey Diazdeleon had eight digs and two kills, Madelyn Dzierzynski had eight service points, one ace and one dig. Skylar Grevengoed had eight digs and one block. Annie Sabotta had seven service points, two aces and one dig. Megan Wiesbrock had six service points, one ace and six kills. Presley Hatton had five kills, two service points, one ace, one dig and one block. Alivia Resurrecion had one kill.
PC will play Ottawa Marquette in the consolation semifinals.
In the Woodland match, PC lost 17-25 and 23-25. Solomon had 16 assists, three service points, two kills and two digs. Diazdeleon had six kills, five digs, four service points and one ace. Hatton had six kills, three service points, two aces and one dig. Dzierzynski had five digs. Grevengoed had four kills and three digs. Wiesbrock had three service points, one kill and one dig. Sabotta had three service points, and Resurrecion also had three service points.
PC defeats Midland
The Lady Panthers beat Henry 25-23 and 25-21 on Oct. 5 on Senior Night. Solomon had 15 assists, 10 service points, seven digs and three service aces. Hatton had 10 service points, six kills, three digs and one ace. Wiesbrock had six service points and two kills. Grevengoed had five kills, three blocks, two digs and one assist. Diazdeleon had four digs and two kills. Dzierzynski had two digs, one service point and one ace. Wiesbrock had two digs. Resurrecion had two kills. The JV squad won in three sets, 18-25, 25-15 and 15-10.
