SPRING VALLEY —St. Margaret’s recently presented a donation to the Starved Rock Country Community Foundation to go toward the tornado disaster relief efforts in Naplate and Ottawa. The $2,392.50 donation was a result of the Hospital Week Mission Event raffles and a Denim Day donation.
According to its website, Starved Rock Country Community Foundation is “a grant-making public charity dedicated to improving the lives of people in LaSalle, Bureau and Putnam counties. Our goal is to bring together the financial resources of individuals, families and businesses to support effective non-profit agencies and other local charitable initiatives; to create and manage scholarships for local students and to provide philanthropic leadership throughout the communities we serve. Their mission is to connect people who care with causes that matter.”
